My Neighborhood

This is the Corner Store up the street from my house....

A little further up the street is a little wood shop/gardens called Stone Fence Gardens. It is actually pretty amazing what this one guy has done with a love for wood and a creativity that is breathtaking. There is a cute little wood house hidden back a ways behind the trees and shrubs... inside is the most creative assortment of 'things' with an indian theme- and all guarded faithfully by a lazy fluffy cat!?! Ok 'things' isnt very descriptive, but I can't think of how to describe the variety of objects this guy has made. There is a little trail that winds through the woods. Along the way is a tepee, several wooden statues/totem poles, and maybe a quaint bench or two. Of course, the highlight of this unique gardens is the statues made out of wood.... maybe I'll get one for my backyard when I finally have some money. :-P

There are two little churches by my house. I think this one is so sweet and cute... oh, and I heard that it recently got indoor plumbing, so I guess the 2-seated outhouses won't be needed again. (Can you tell I liked to explore a little too much when I was little?)
